The price of speed, well measured.
On Solana, two amounts decide who goes first when several buyers target the same block: the priority fee, paid to the validator, and the Jito tip, paid to get your transaction included first. Slippage sets the price gap you accept. Setting them right means getting ahead without overpaying.

The three settings
- Priority fee
- An extra paid to the validator producing the block. The higher it is, the more likely your transaction gets placed early in the block.
- Jito tip
- A tip paid through Jito, a network most Solana validators run through. It gets your transaction included first.
- Slippage
- The max price gap you accept between sending and execution. On a memecoin mid-race, tight slippage makes the buy fail.
How much should I set?
Simplest way to start: Scope's auto mode, which picks priority from the market, with a suggested minimum shown.
- No competition (a coin nobody targets): the minimum is enough. On Scope the minimum tip is 0.000001 SOL.
- In a race (a closely watched launch, a heavily copied wallet): you need to go higher, because the highest bidder goes first.
- Relative to your amount: a 0.001 SOL tip on a 0.01 SOL buy is 10% of your stake. Keep an eye on that ratio.
What about slippage?
In sniping and copying, many traders set very wide slippage, because a missed buy costs more than a slightly worse price. Scope accepts up to 100%. In return, keep amounts reasonable: wide slippage on a big position can get expensive.
How Scope sends your transaction
The same transaction goes out at once through three routes: RPC, Jito across 6 regions, and straight to the network leaders. Between Scope users targeting the same coin, the rule is public: the highest tip + priority goes first; on a tie, it's random. No VIP customers behind the scenes.
FAQ
Is the tip lost if the transaction fails?
A Jito tip is only paid if the transaction is included. The priority fee of a transaction that's included but fails is spent.
Does the tip go to Scope?
No. Tip and priority go to the network. Scope only takes its 1% fee per buy and per sell.
Why did my buy land late despite a big tip?
Others bid more, or the coin was already far along its curve when it passed your filters. Check the buy block in your history.
